Frédérique Wentholt specializes in intellectual property. Under the name Wentholt IP she thinks along with you about trademarks, designs, copyright, trade names, domain names and unfair competition. Queries relating to protection, conflicts (or how to avoid them) and agreements such as licenses, distribution and agency agreements. She advises Dutch and multinational firms, (foreign) law firms and trademark agencies.
Frédérique previously worked as legal counsel at fashion group Secon and denim label G-Star. She was closely involved in the international expansion of the brands and infringement cases. Furthermore she worked as legal counsel at the Intellectual Property department of the law firm Houthoff Buruma and at trademark agency Zacco (formerly Shield Mark). She has extensive experience in opposition proceedings before the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property and opposition and cancellation proceedings before the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office). She also handles domain name disputes.
Frédérique is a member of the Law Committee of the Benelux Association for Trademarks and Designs (BMM), member of the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA) and of the Dutch Copyright Association and lectures at the Professional Education for certified Benelux Trademarks and Designs attorneys (BBMM).
